HISTORY
ESTABLISHMENT OF TREASURE HOUSE
Treasure House Christian Children's Home was established in year 2000 in Varadoli in Ba, by Doug and Sandy Paglia.
The Fiji Based American Mission under the umbrella of the Assemblies of God (AOG) Church set up the home assigning Doug and Sandy Paglia to be the first Administrators.
Doug and Sandy had come to Fiji to work as missionaries among the Indian community in Ba.
Treasure House Christian Children's Home was set up with the guidance of the Fiji Ministry of Social Welfare and the Minister then Mrs. Bernadette Ganilau came to Ba to open the Home. A few other government officials were present for the opening with the board members from the community of Ba including Dr. Doton and his wife who are Doctors, as well as Mrs. Dayal of Dayal Contractors, Mrs. Wainikiti Qovu of the Ministry of Labour, and Mr. Lal a Social Welfare Officer.
PAGLIAS RETURN TO USA
Four and half years later, the Paglias needed to return home to the USA. The Americans in Fiji at the time could not step in to do the work of Administration for the Home as they each had their own work to do.

Reverend Spain Trask the President of American Missions at the time then began to talk with the Local Fijian Community to see if anyone would be interested and willing to take over Administration of the Home.
ADMINISTRATION HANDED OVER TO LOCAL COMMUNITY
Pastor Alipate Cakau was the Senior Pastor of Sabeto Assemblies of God (AOG) Church at the time. He indicated interest in taking over the Home. Consequently Pastor Cakau had a meeting with his Sabeto Church Board and showed his interest in taking over the Home in Ba. He then let Rev. Trask know his interest and the Home was handed over to the Sabeto AOG Church.
ADMINISTRATION STRUCTURE
Pastor Cakau then registered the orphanage under the MARANATHA MINISTIRES TRUST; he is the Executive Director of the Trust and did this to ensure the safety and security of the Orphanage for the future. Should he finish his work as Pastor of Sabeto AOG Church one day, the Trust will protect the home ensuring it will not be affected.
Treasure House Christian Children's Home became an AFFILIATE of MARANATHA MINISTRIES TRUST. The trust was registered under the Charitable Trust Act of Fiji until 2015.

Treasure House Christian Children's Home is operated on a daily basis by the Director, one Supervisor, House Mothers, and Caregivers, a Driver, a Laundry Lady and an Office Assistant.

TREASURE HOUSE MOVES FROM BA TO NADI
The Treasure House Children's Christian Home was relocated to Nadi in November of year 2007. There is no orphanage in Ba today.
